Assign a procedure to calibration work
Requirements and templates pin an exact approved revision. Later procedure approvals never alter active work silently.
After approving a new procedure revision, Use this revision in a requirement opens the equipment register. Select the equipment, add or edit its requirement, and choose the approved code and revision in the controlled-procedure selector.
- Create or edit a requirement or requirement template.
- Confirm the procedure policy derived from its calibration type.
- For internal calibration, verification, or a functional check, open Controlled procedure revision and select the approved code, title, and revision required for the work.
- For external calibration, enter the nonblank external provider method or specification reference. No controlled revision is selected.
- Save the requirement or template revision.
- Review the displayed policy, pinned revision identity, or external method before activation or assignment.
Not applicable is reserved for future supported workflows and is not valid for any current calibration type. Do not use an empty controlled revision or external reference to imply that no procedure applies.
When a newer procedure revision is approved, review its impact and create a controlled requirement revision to adopt it. Existing events remain pinned to the revision selected when they started.
Next steps
Use Search approved procedures to narrow the dropdown. All pages of approved procedures are included. After creating and approving a prerequisite in another tab, choose Refresh choices; your other form entries and selected revision are retained. A partial loading error leaves the available choices visible and can be retried.
