Track work-order progress
The work-order register shows dates, effective assignment and item counts. Open an order to review each requirement and its linked calibration event.
Item progress is calculated by Metra from the current calibration-event state:
- Not started — no linked event.
- In progress — calibration evidence is being prepared or revised.
- Awaiting approval — submitted for independent review.
- Completed — the current effective event is approved.
- Action required — the linked event was cancelled, voided or otherwise needs a planner decision.
- Cancelled — the planned item was explicitly cancelled with a retained reason.
An approved failed or indeterminate result still completes the operational item. Its result and any out-of-tolerance investigation remain visible in their controlled workflows.
The order completes automatically when at least one item is complete and every other item is complete or cancelled. Cancelling an order never cancels or voids calibration events that have already started.
There is no manual completion control: Metra derives work-order completion from the retained item and calibration-event evidence.

Recovering from a failed action
Conflicts explain whether an event is already linked, a requirement is reserved elsewhere, the assignee differs, or the work has changed. Review the specified event or assignment before retrying. Refresh the work order when another user has changed its version; do not repeat a stale action blindly.
To link existing calibration work, choose the event from the Calibration event dropdown. Choices are scoped to the work item’s equipment and requirement and include open draft, rejected and awaiting-approval events. Use Refresh events if work was created elsewhere. Metra rechecks eligibility when linking.
