Import equipment categories

Choose Equipment categories to import a category name and optional description. Categories are organisation-owned and a category name must be unique after normalisation.

Map Category · Name and optionally Category · Description. For an existing exact name, choose the import policy to match and skip it or treat it as an error. Import does not overwrite descriptions, reactivate archived categories or fuzzy-merge similar names.

Once at least one active category exists, continue with the asset-register import. Asset rows can then select or inherit an approved category mapping.
