Review measurement evidence
When calibration work is submitted, its measurement revision is frozen. Reviewers see that submitted revision rather than a later draft.
Start with exceptions
The review summary highlights:
- Failed as-found points.
- Adjustments.
- Indeterminate results.
- Recorded result overrides.
Review every highlighted exception before ordinary passing points.
Compare as-found and as-left evidence
As-found and as-left outcomes are deliberately separate. If an item failed as found and passed after adjustment, the original failure remains visible and may require an out-of-tolerance investigation.
Check that adjustment notes explain what was done and that the as-left evidence supports the final condition.
Review uncertainty and limits
For each point, confirm the nominal value, observed values, acceptance limits, expanded uncertainty, coverage factor, calculated error, and result agree with the applicable procedure.
Review overrides
An override panel shows the calculated result, recorded result, and mandatory reason. When the frozen submitted revision contains one or more overrides, the approval dialogue presents a separate acknowledgement. You must intentionally confirm that you reviewed those overrides and their underlying calculated results before approval can proceed. The acknowledgement does not replace or remove the calculated evidence.
Approve or reject
Metra explains any evidence that blocks approval. Reject the event with a clear correction reason when evidence is missing or inconsistent. Separation-of-duties rules prevent performers and submitters from approving their own work.
Approved measurement evidence is fixed and can be included in compliance exports and ISO/IEC 17025 dossiers.

Review supporting standards
Before approving measurements, review the frozen reference-standard usage, capability band, work-date eligibility, restrictions, exceptions, and traceability findings. A prohibited finding remains visible after an authorised exception and requires explicit approval acknowledgement.
